Our duvets use Primaloft microfibre which was developed for the US army as an alternative to down. The advantage for the army was that when a sleeping bag became wet it would still retain its insulating capabilities unlike down or hollow-fibre. Nowaday,s due its soft fluffy velvety texture it is used in bedding. The filling compromises of 100% microfibre.The microfibre content provides high loft , extra softness and traps warm air efficiently. This gives the duvet a really sumptuous cozy feel as it drapes softly over the body.
The 100% microfibre c to keep the quilt balanced and to avoid cold spots. This is then treated with ultra fresh which controls the house dust-mite, the most common cause of allergies also inhibits bacteria growth and keeps the fabric feeling fresh wash after wash.
