Microfibre is an ultra-fine and ultra-soft fiber that is lightweight but has high thermal retention properties. Our duvets use Primaloft microfibre which was developed for the US army as an alternative to down. The advantage for the army was that when a sleeping bag became wet it would still retain its insulating capabilities, unlike down or hollow-fiber. Nowadays,s due to its soft fluffy velvety texture it is used in bedding. The filling compromises of 100% microfibre.

The microfibre content provides high loft, extra softness and traps warm air efficiently. This gives the duvet a really sumptuous cozy feel as it drapes softly over the body. 

The 100% microfibre to keep the quilt balanced and to avoid cold spots. This is then treated with ultra-fresh which controls the house dust-mite, the most common cause of allergies also inhibits bacteria growth and keeps the fabric feeling fresh wash after wash.

Tog is a measure of thermal assurance of a unit area, also known as thermal resistance. It is frequently used in the textile industry and often seen extracted on, for example, duvets and carpet underlay.
