The advantage for the army was that when a sleeping bag became wet, it would still retain its insulating capabilities, unlike down or hollow fibre.

Nowadays, due to its soft, fluffy, velvety texture, it is used for bedding—the filling is 100% microfibre.

The microfibre content provides high loft, extra softness, and efficient trapping of warm air. This gives the duvet a sumptuous, cosy feel as it drapes softly over the body.

The 100% microfibre keeps the quilt balanced and avoids cold spots. It is then treated with ultra-fresh, which controls the house dust mite, the most common cause of allergies. It also inhibits bacteria growth and keeps the fabric feeling fresh wash after wash.
